class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pregunte a cualquier taller de prototipos qu\u00e9 pol\u00edmero domina su planta de producci\u00f3n, y la respuesta es casi siempre la misma: el nailon. Casi noventa a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de que Wallace Carothers sintetizara el nailon 6.6 en DuPont en 1935, las poliamidas se han convertido en el material de ingenier\u00eda predeterminado tanto para la impresi\u00f3n 3D de lecho de polvo como de filamento: resistente pero flexible, resistente a la abrasi\u00f3n, qu\u00edmicamente duradero y dispuesto a ser te\u00f1ido, pintado o mecanizado despu\u00e9s de la impresi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pero \u201cimpr\u00edmelo en nailon\u201d oculta muchas decisiones. \u00bfPA6, PA11 o PA12? \u00bfFilamento o polvo? \u00bfSLS o Multi Jet Fusion? \u00bfY por qu\u00e9 tantos primeros intentos terminan en piezas alabeadas, con hilos y arruinadas por la humedad? Esta gu\u00eda desglosa el tema en las cuatro preguntas que realmente importan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Materiales: PA6 frente a PA11 frente a PA12<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los grados de nailon reciben su nombre por los \u00e1tomos de carbono en su cadena molecular, y las peque\u00f1as diferencias en la qu\u00edmica se traducen en grandes diferencias en la placa de impresi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El PA6 es el filamento cl\u00e1sico de nailon para la impresi\u00f3n FDM\/FFF. Desde el punto de vista mec\u00e1nico, es similar al ABS, pero con una resistencia al impacto y a la abrasi\u00f3n mucho mayor: una aut\u00e9ntica alternativa al policarbonato que resulta m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil de imprimir. El precio habitual del filamento oscila entre $20 y 40 por bobina de 500 g, mientras que las variantes reforzadas con fibra de carbono o de vidrio alcanzan precios de entre $60 y 150.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El PA12 es el grado de polvo dominante para SLS y MJF, y por una buena raz\u00f3n: alta rigidez y resistencia a la tracci\u00f3n (~48-50 MPa en MJF), excelente estabilidad dimensional, baja absorci\u00f3n de humedad y un punto de fusi\u00f3n m\u00e1s bajo (~175-180 \u00b0C) que hace que sea m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil y econ\u00f3mico de procesar. Acepta el postprocesamiento \u2014te\u00f1ido, pintura, pulido en tambor\u2014 de maravilla. Esta es la opci\u00f3n predeterminada para piezas de grado de producci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PA11 difiere por un solo \u00e1tomo de carbono pero proviene de una fuente completamente diferente: el aceite de ricino, una materia prima de origen biol\u00f3gico renovable (el Rilsan PA11 de Arkema se produce desde la d\u00e9cada de 1950). Sacrifica un poco de rigidez a cambio de una ductilidad, resistencia al impacto y estabilidad UV\/t\u00e9rmica notablemente mayores; es la mejor opci\u00f3n para ensamblajes a presi\u00f3n, bisagras de flexi\u00f3n y piezas que se flexionan repetidamente. Los inconvenientes: absorbe m\u00e1s humedad que el PA12, funde a mayor temperatura (~200 \u00b0C) y prefiere una atm\u00f3sfera de impresi\u00f3n inerte para evitar la oxidaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los grados rellenos y especiales completan la gama de productos: el PA12 con fibra de carbono 30% eleva la resistencia a la tracci\u00f3n hasta unos 88 MPa para estructuras de drones ultrarr\u00edgidas; las variantes rellenas de fibra de vidrio alcanzan temperaturas de deflexi\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica superiores a 180 \u00b0C para aplicaciones bajo el cap\u00f3 de los autom\u00f3viles; los nylons ign\u00edfugos UL94 V-0 se utilizan en carcasas de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos y dispositivos electr\u00f3nicos; y el PA12 biocompatible de clase VI seg\u00fan la norma USP se emplea en gu\u00edas quir\u00fargicas. El precio del polvo oscilar\u00e1 entre $50 y 100\/kg, dependiendo de la composici\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. La ruta accesible. El filamento de nailon se imprime a una temperatura de boquilla de 220\u2013250 \u00b0C con una cama caliente de alrededor de 80 \u00b0C, algo indiscutible, ya que la adhesi\u00f3n del nailon a la cama es notoriamente deficiente sin ella. Una c\u00e1mara cerrada ayuda enormemente. El nailon FDM es ideal para plantillas, soportes y piezas de desgaste, aunque las l\u00edneas de capa limitan los detalles finos y la resistencia en el eje Z.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SLS (sinterizaci\u00f3n selectiva por l\u00e1ser). Un l\u00e1ser sinteriza el polvo de PA12\/PA11 capa a capa; no se necesitan soportes, ya que el polvo no sinterizado sirve de soporte a la pieza. La ventaja: geometr\u00edas complejas, ensamblajes entrelazados impresos in situ y una resistencia casi isotr\u00f3pica (el PA12 de SLS presenta una isotrop\u00eda de aproximadamente el 97\u201398%, con una resistencia a la tracci\u00f3n en el eje Z de unos 42 MPa, mientras que algunos procesos FDM solo alcanzan una fracci\u00f3n de ese valor). Normalmente, se puede recuperar y reutilizar aproximadamente el 50% del polvo sin sinterizar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MJF (Multi Jet Fusion). El proceso de HP consiste en proyectar agentes de fusi\u00f3n y acabado sobre el lecho de polvo y, a continuaci\u00f3n, fusionarlo mediante energ\u00eda infrarroja; es m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido que el SLS, ofrece superficies m\u00e1s lisas y una mayor tasa de reutilizaci\u00f3n del polvo, de alrededor del 70%, lo que reduce directamente el coste por pieza. Para la producci\u00f3n en serie de piezas funcionales de nailon, la tecnolog\u00eda MJF se ha convertido en la l\u00edder del sector en cuanto a rendimiento: en una sola tirada se pueden anidar cientos de piezas en todo el volumen de construcci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. La gu\u00eda de escollos: Siete errores que se deben evitar<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Imprimir filamento h\u00famedo.<\/strong> El nailon es agresivamente higrosc\u00f3pico: una bobina dejada afuera durante la noche puede absorber suficiente humedad como para causar hilos, burbujas y capas d\u00e9biles. Seque a 70\u201380 \u00b0C durante 4\u20136 horas e imprima desde una caja seca sellada.
